LEVELS
Beginners - For those with no prior yoga experience
As a beginner you will experience the practice of Yoga as a form of physical exercise that challenges and refines your flexibility, strength and balance. A series of primary postures will be taught, making frequent use of props to help you work in a range of motion that is safe and effective for you. Learning how to do this will increase your body awareness. You will learn to control your breathing in a relaxed and modified way in order to provide focus in the different postures. These classes will prepare you for attending General classes.
General
A more dynamic practice aimed at students with 6 – 12 months prior experience. A wide range of challenging postures are taught and practiced including backbends and inversions.
Group Practice
For students wishing to practice at the school. Open to all levels, students are expected to practice without assistance. Free use of facilities for current cardholders.
Beginners / Pre-natal
This class combines breathing and relaxation techniques with stretching, strengthening and balancing exercises. Regardless of your stage of pregnancy, asanas (yoga postures) help to awaken your sense of body and breath awareness, to become more in touch with yourself and your own nature. A regular pre-natal yoga practice can help improve circulation to your extremities, assist with maintaining a healthy blood pressure, help increase oxygen supply to the fetus and improve your energy levels..
Restorative Classes
Restful and therapeutic postures to quieten and restore. Suitable for students of all levels of experience.
Private Individual Classes
These classes are for one on one individual tuition. By appointment only.
